Embodied Ethics in the Age of Ai

Technomancy: with awareness we can consciously use technology and the realm of cyberspace to make positive connections, creativity and magic.
Zoom connects people across the world simultaneously. Genuine relating and profound community, the online space opens up ways of holding ceremony and sharing ideas that is completely new in the history of humans. How is this shaping or evolving our consciousness and the way we relate to one another?

In this image I recreated the opening ceremony from the online course Embodied Ethics in the Age of Ai with Josh Schrei (the emerald podcast) and Andrew Murray Dunn. Participants were asked to bring an offering and Shrei called in the directions and elements. The course invited tech engineers, programmers etc to think in a more heart centered ritualistic way about interacting online. As Schrei points out not many people in tech know how to make a fire.

I worked as an artist in virtual residence for this project.

During the making of this piece I contemplated the artistic process vs outsourcing to Ai. I wondered does this equal real life meetings, or are zoom meetings and the like something completely different in its own right.
