Mari Lwyd Greeting Card

£3.00

Mari Lwyd is a tradition celebrated in parts of Wales. In recent years it has been resurrected in my local town of Aberteifi where every January my friends pub crawl with the Mari Lwyd singing welsh songs and call and response melodies. It’s a great night and a tradition that protects from unwanted energy that can linger in the darker months, singing in a good year.

Ive had a long interest in the winter traditions and their costumes across Europe.
